Slim Whitman Slim Whitman was famous around the world as a best-selling American country and western music singer-songwriter and instrumentalist. He was well known for his yodelling vocal ability and high octave falsetto. He sold over 120 million records and his hits include "Indian Love Call", "Keep it a Secret" and "Secret Love". His version of "Rose Marie" topped the UK singles chart in 1955 and held a Guinness World Record for the longest time at No.1, only broken in 1991 after 36 years. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
